The Forth Road Bridge reached 50 years of age in 2014. This was celebrated with a number of events such as a parade of Jim Clark's racing cars crossing the bridge, a flotilla of vessels on the Forth and a Firework display. As part of the celebrations individuals were requested to create a Scrapbook containing their personal memories and photographs of the Road Bridge this could also include memories of the ferries which of course ceased to operate 50 years ago. These Scrapbooks were created on the Web and were reproduced in an exhibition in South Queensferry.
