This website documents the history of the Queensferry Passage and the four car ferries that operated between North Queensferry and South Queensferry from 1934 until the opening of the Forth Road Bridge in 1964.
There is a small graveyard in North Queensferry, St James Chapel called "Sailers Cemetery". It dates back to when the Chapel was built in the 14th century.

One of the grave stones relates to Andrew Turnbull who was a boatman on the Queensferry Passage. Andrew died in 1874.
